We are a large suburban practice with a list size of 14,000 situated in the centre of affluent Bramhall, also looking after patients in Woodford, Cheadle Hulme and Hazel Grove.
We work out of a PCT Health Centre with a friendly community team including a large district nursing team, physiotherapist, counsellor, podiatry, dressings clinic, and school nurses.
The practice offers partner led additional services including Child Health Surveillance, Minor Surgery, and Family Planning. Our practice nurses run Chronic Disease Management including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD and CHD. Our nurses also provide cervical cytology, dietetic advice, smoking cessation and ECG services.
Our computer system is Microtest, an easy to use Windows based system, which allows us to be (almost) paperless. We are currently awaiting e-links for outpatient letters and discharge summaries.
Our administration staff are very supportive in help with audit work and QOF. We regularly achieve 100% in QOF clinical indicators.
Out of Hours Cover is with Mastercall.
We have a large library, and the Registrar has their own dedicated office in which to see patients and to do private study. We also have excellent links with the Postgraduate Centre at nearby Stepping Hill Hospital, who can help with research work.
As Trainers, Lynda Pozzoni and Jill Lowe are committed to a broad based learning experience, with support as a core value. We encourage outside interests to balance the hectic life of work and study.
